Early Life

Rick Leventhal was born on December 31, 1964 in Wyckoff, New Jersey. He is the son of a Jewish father and a Catholic mother. He attended Ramapo High School in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, and graduated in 1982. He then attended the University of Miami, where he earned a degree in broadcast journalism.

Career

Leventhal began his career in broadcasting in 1985, working as a reporter for WTVJ-TV in Miami. He then moved to WBBH-TV in Fort Myers, Florida, where he worked as a reporter and anchor. In 1989, he joined WFLA-TV in Tampa, Florida, where he worked as a reporter and anchor.

In 1995, Leventhal joined Fox News Channel as a correspondent. He has since reported from numerous locations around the world, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel, and the United Kingdom. He has covered major news stories such as the September 11th attacks, Hurricane Katrina, and the 2008 presidential election. He has also reported on the war in Iraq, the conflict in Syria, and the 2016 presidential election.

Leventhal has also appeared on various Fox News programs, including Fox & Friends, The O'Reilly Factor, and Hannity. He is currently a senior correspondent for Fox News Channel.

Personal Life

Leventhal is married to Beth Shak, a professional poker player. The couple has three children. Leventhal is an avid golfer and enjoys playing the guitar. He is also a fan of the New York Mets and the New York Giants.
