Early Life
Rebecca Quick was born on August 22, 1972 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She grew up in a small town in Indiana and attended Indiana University, where she earned a degree in political science. After college, she moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue a career in journalism.
Career
Quick began her career as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal in 1995. She quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to the position of assistant bureau chief in the paper's Washington, D.C. bureau. In 2001, she was named the paper's global markets editor.
In 2006, Quick joined CNBC as a co-anchor of Squawk Box. She has since become one of the most recognizable faces on the network, appearing regularly on the show and other CNBC programs. She has also served as a panelist on NBC's Meet the Press.
