Sir Patrick Stewart was born on 13 July 1940 in Mirfield, in the West Riding of Yorkshire, England. His folks were Gladys, a weaver and material specialist, and Alfred Stewart, a regimental sergeant major in the British Army. He was the third child in a group of five. His two siblings are Geoffrey and Trevor. He is currently married to Sunny Ozell, an American singer and songwriter born December 23, 1978. Sir Patrick Stewart met Sunny in 2008 in NYC while she was a server at Franny's. He was in New York around then for a Brooklyn Academy of Music production of Macbeth.
His close friend and actor, Sir Ian McKellen administered their marriage in 2013. The decision to have his companion direct their wedding was Sunny's idea.
