Napoleon Hill (1883-1970) was an American author and lecturer who is best known for his book Think and Grow Rich, which has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. Early Life

Hill was born on October 26, 1883, in a one-room log cabin in the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia. His father, James Hill, was a poor farmer who struggled to make ends meet. His mother, Martha, was a devout Christian who taught her son the importance of hard work and perseverance. Hill was the youngest of seven children and had to work from a young age to help support his family.

Hill went on to write several other books, including The Law of Success (1928), The Magic Ladder to Success (1930), and Outwitting the Devil (1938). He also lectured extensively on the topics of success and personal achievement.
