Mike Tomlin is known as an American football coach head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He is most famous for being the youngest head coach in NFL history to win a Super Bowl.

Background and Age

Michael Pettaway Tomlin was born on March 15, 1972 in Hampton, VA. All through his youth years, he grew up with his sibling, Eddie. Their father, Ed Tomlin, played football at Hampton Institute in the1960s. His father passed away in January 2012 from a heart attack in Ocala, Florida, at 63 years old.

His mom and stepfather, Julia and Leslie Copeland raised him. Football was a major effect on Tomlin since his early years in life. Tomlin graduated in 1990 from Denbigh High School in Newport News, Virginia. Afterward, he went to the College of William and Mary. There, he turned into a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi organization.

Mike Tomlin is a happily married man. He met his better half, Kiya Winston, while they were students at The College of William and Mary. The pair has three children together. He often takes his family to the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

Career and Net Worth

In 2001, Tomlin was enlisted as the defensive backs coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was chosen by Vikings' lead trainer Brad Childress to be his defensive assistant coach in 2006. Eventually, Tomlin was chosen to interview for the empty head coaching position with the 2005 Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers.

Tomlin supplanted Bill Cowher as the head coach, who resigned subsequent to going through 15 years with the group. On July 13, 2010, Tomlin signed a three-year contract with the Steelers. On November 13, 2011, Tomlin won his 50th game as the Steelers head coach with a 24–17 triumph over the Cincinnati Bengals. During a game on October 29, 2017, it was broadcast that Tomlin turned into the third coach in NFL history to complete with a .500 or better record in his initial ten seasons with one group.

In November 2019, The Pittsburgh Steelers and Tomlin declared that they will start Devlin Hodges, who caused a negative ripple effect earlier in the season with his backing of President Trump.
