Michael Rubens Bloomberg was born on February 14, 1942, in Boston, Massachusetts. He was brought up in a white-collar class family who instructed him with lessons and built up enough of his confidence that he expected to prevail throughout everyday life.
He went to Johns Hopkins University and he paid his own educational cost by taking out loans and working day occupations like the job at a parking garage. Bloomberg was married to Susan Brown from 1975 to 1993. The two ended up staying dear companions after their separation. They had two little girls together named Georgina and Emma. Since 2000, Bloomberg has been in a relationship with former New York banking director Diana Taylor.

In 1966, Michael was contracted as an assistant by a Wall Street firm known as Salomon Brothers. Michael rose quickly through the upper positions at Salomon.
