Kyle Lowry is known as an American professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the NBA. He is most famous for being one of the longest tenured players for the lone Canadian based NBA team.

Kyle Lowry was born on March 25, 1986, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From the earliest starting point of his adolescence, he had a distinct fascination for basketball and started to play on his school basketball courts. Kyle joined Cardinal Dougherty Cardinals high school in Philadelphia because of their reputation for player development. During his school years, he played point guard for his basketball crew. Afterward, he enlisted at Villanova University and played college basketball there. During his residency at the school, he averaged 7.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game in 24 matches.

Career as a Basketball Player

Kyle started his career with Memphis Grizzlies after being selected in the 2006 NBA draft. On his introduction to the NBA, he scored six and had 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block against the New York Knicks. He was eventually traded to the Houston Rockets. On July 14, 2010, the Cleveland Cavaliers offered him a four year $23 million contract. Houston rose to the offer by matching it and he stayed with Houston Rockets.

After a few good years with the Rockets, he recorded his first triple double of the 2017-2018 season and his eighth as a Raptor with 11 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in a 101–92 triumph against the Los Angeles Lakers. As a national team player, he has also won the gold award at the 2016 Summer Olympics with U.S. Men's National Team. Kyle was also named to the All-NBA Third Team in 2016 and NBA All-Star in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

In the 2019 NBA finals, he is representing the Raptors as they take on the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors. It was announced in June 2019 that Kyle would be reunited with his college coach, Jay Wright as both were selected to represent Team USA.
