Early Life
Dana Loesch was born in Dallas, Texas on September 28, 1978. She was raised in a conservative Christian family and attended a private Christian school. She graduated from Fox High School in Arnold, Missouri in 1996. After high school, she attended St. Louis Community College at Meramec and then transferred to Webster University, where she graduated with a degree in Journalism in 2000.
Career
After college, Loesch began her career as a freelance writer and editor for various publications, including St. Louis Magazine and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. She also wrote for the conservative website Townhall.com and was a contributing editor for the conservative magazine, The American Spectator.
In 2009, Loesch began hosting her own radio show, The Dana Show, which aired on KFTK-FM in St. Louis. The show was syndicated nationally in 2011 and was eventually picked up by TheBlaze, a conservative media outlet founded by Glenn Beck. She also began appearing as a political commentator on various news networks, including CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC.
In 2013, Loesch released her first book, Hands Off My Gun: Defeating the Plot to Disarm America. The book was a New York Times bestseller and was praised by many conservative commentators. In 2016, she released her second book, Flyover Nation: You Can't Run a Country You've Never Been To. The book was also a New York Times bestseller and was praised by many conservative commentators.
