Claire Danes became a young acting star when she handled the featuring role of Angela Chase, an inquisitive, hyper-astute teenager in the ABC series My So-Called Life, which debuted in 1994. My So-Called Life proved to be a hit with pundits, with Danes winning a Golden Globe for best actress.

After the success of her show, Danes started to advance onto the big screen. She made her feature film debut in 1994's Little Women, along with big names like Kirsten Dunst, Christian Bale, and Winona Ryder. Crudup had proceeded onward to his co-star, Claire Danes. The two met while working on the 1997 anime film Princess Mononoke. About two years later, Crudup and Danes parted ways.

Claire Danes married British actor Hugh Dancy in 2009. They held a little wedding service in France. The couple met while working on the 2007 film Evening. They had their first kid together, a child named Cyrus, in December 2012, and invited a subsequent child, Rowan, in August 2018.
