Chris Paul is known as an American professional basketball player who has played point guard for the NBA's New Orleans Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets. He is most famous for being a top point guard for most of his career.

Background

Christopher Emmanuel Paul was born on May 6, 1985, in Lewisville, North Carolina as the second child of Charles and Robin Paul. Chris' father was a former competitor who showed him and his older sibling C.J. the essentials of basketball and football and motivated their contribution in team sports. When Paul wasn't occupied with sports, he worked in a service station owned by his grandfather, Nathaniel Jones with whom he was extremely close.

Both Chris and his wife Jada Crawley hail from North Carolina. Chris went to high school at West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, while Jada went to Mount Tabor High School. Jada and Chris both went to university at Wake Forest until Chris darted for the NBA after two seasons.

Chris and Jada Paul were married in September 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The occasion occurred at the Ballantyne Hotel and Lodge and was attended by a few NBA stars. Jada and Chris Paul had a child, Christopher Emmanuel Paul, in May 2009. In August 2012, Jada and Chris Paul had their second youngster. Camryn Alexis Paul was born on August 16, 2012, in Winston-Salem.

Basketball Career and Net Worth

After joining the NBA's New Orleans Hornets in 2005, he set up himself as one of the league's top point guards while normally positioning among the leaders in assists and steals. Paul kept on adding to his amazing career details when he was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2011 and after that the Houston Rockets in 2017. Despite all of his great teams, he was not able to achieve his dream of winning an NBA title.

When the Clippers traded him to the Houston Rockets, he thought it would be his best chance to win a title. Getting matched with scoring machine James Harden, Paul drove the Rockets to a NBA-best 65 wins in 2017-18. He even reached the Western Conference finals for the first time ever in his career, before the Rockets tumbled to the Golden State Warriors in seven games.

In the 2019 season, the Rockets met up with the Golden State Warriors again but lost in the second round. The franchise was disappointed which caused rumors in June 2019 that Harden and Paul were having chemistry issues. Paul quickly shot down the rumors on social media.
