Early Life
Brigitte Duclos was born in Paris, France on April 15th, 1975. She was the daughter of a French diplomat and a French businesswoman. She was raised in a privileged environment and was exposed to a variety of cultures and languages from a young age. She attended the prestigious Lycée Français de Paris, where she excelled in her studies and was an active member of the student council.
Education
After graduating from high school, Brigitte went on to pursue a degree in International Relations at the Sorbonne University in Paris. She graduated with honors in 1997 and was awarded a scholarship to pursue a Master’s degree in International Law at the University of Oxford. She graduated with distinction in 1999 and was offered a position at the United Nations in Geneva.
Career
Brigitte began her career at the United Nations in Geneva as a legal advisor. She quickly rose through the ranks and was appointed as the Deputy Director of the International Law Division in 2002. In this role, she was responsible for providing legal advice to the UN on a variety of international issues. She was also instrumental in the development of the International Criminal Court.
In 2006, Brigitte was appointed as the Director of the International Law Division.
