Early Life
Rick MacInnes-Rae was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1945. He attended the University of Toronto, where he studied English literature and journalism. After graduating, he began his career as a journalist, working for various newspapers and magazines in Canada.
Career
In 1968, MacInnes-Rae joined the CBC Radio show As It Happens as a reporter. He quickly became a key part of the show, and was eventually promoted to co-host in 1975. He has remained with the show ever since, and is now one of its longest-serving members.
