Megan Pete was born on February 15, 1995 in Houston, TX. She grew up the girl of rapper Holly-Wood also known as Holly Thomas and was tuning in to Southern rap staples like Three 6 Mafia and Pimp C since early on in her life. She was writing her own raps by age 14 however didn't make genuine moves in the rap game until she posted a series of video cuts on social media a couple of years after. In 2013, Stallion beat her male adversaries in a freestyle rap battle. She was a student at Prairie View A&M University around the time she was gaining respect among her peers. There was a video of Megan beating her rival which became famous online on the web. It helped her to get popularity and an online following.

Megan Thee Stallion started picking up fame and respect in 2016. She became a champion on the Houston Cipher. Explicitly charged verses and constant confidence characterized her style, and she immediately took off locally. A few erratic tracks prompted 2017's Make It Hot mixtape and 2018's subsequent project, Tina Snow.
After the less generally released 2016 mixtape Rich Ratchet, she released the singles "Draw Up Late" and "Stalli (Freestyle)" in 2017, the last of which had a music video that would be seen a large number of times. The seven-track EP Make It Hot showed up that same year and a backed off "chopped" remix rendition of the EP pursued the following year. Megan's acclaim developed rapidly, and as she increased her base with more fans and devotees, she signed with 300 Entertainment in 2018 and released her most circumspectly produced work to date with the ten-tune Tina Snow. The album featured an appearance from Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo and production from Concept P. The project got on the charts, and a video for the single "Big Ole Freak" was streamed a large number of times inside months of its February 2019 discharge. Her first studio collection, Fever, landed in May 2019, complete with features from Juicy J and DaBaby.
In December 2019, it was announced that Megan made the Forbes 30 Under 30 – Hollywood & Entertainment list.
