Kit Hoover made her TV debut in 1995 as a cast member on the first season of MTV's "Road Rules." Soon after she joined King World Production as their entertainment columnist for "American Journal."

Hoover then went to Fox News in 1999 as a reporter for Fox Broadcasting Company's newsmagazine, "FOX Files." In 2003, she started as host ESPN2's "Cold Pizza," and furthermore filled in as a guest judge on ESPN's reality challenge, "Dream Job."

Hoover has appeared a few times as a guest host on "The View" and from 2008-2009, she hosted TLC's way of life makeover series, "Real Simple, Real Life," which was an extension of the magazine Real Simple.

She filled in as the host of ABC's "Shaq Vs.," a reality TV show featuring legendary basketball player, Shaquille O'Neal in 2010. She also hosted "Celebrity Home Raiders" on Lifetime.

A veteran TV character and broadcast journalist, Hoover offers a varied foundation and live involvement in a fun, vigorous character that permits her to be flighty and unconstrained. She carried that vitality to Animal Planet's live 2-hour extraordinary, "Give a Dog a Home," which was broadcasted in December 2019.

Kit went on to become the host of Access Hollywood and Access Daily. In May 2020, a few weeks after the country shut down due to the corona virus crisis, Kit reflected on how her work life changed. The crew recorded Access Hollywood and Access Daily in the studio on the NBCUniversal for the last time in March 202. Kit didn't think they'd be away for in excess of two or three weeks or that they'd wind up doing shows from home, so when she left the studio that day, she didn't try to bring any cosmetics, hair apparatuses, or garments with her. There were greater things on the planet to stress over, and looking great while staying at home most of the time wasn't one of them. A week and a half later, her producers revealed to the set that they would film their first remote show from home.
